It has been improved this year and this is the knockout draw after the mini league was completed

Now that we are into winter and the weather taking effect on the pitches,

Club secretaries, referees or the Referees secretary will be making decisions on condition of the pitches well in advance.

No longer should games be left until 15-20 minutes before kick off to be called on or off.

Do not contact Jimmy, Jack or Val regarding the condition of your pitch if it has been called off in advance!

Time to Switch

With the future of the Oldham Sunday League very much in the balance, and as the last & only Sunday

afternoon league the area with the Manchester FA, the committee are now looking at making

the switch to Sunday morning to fall in line with all the other leagues and attract more teams

back into the league. The league will once again be funding teams next season, so we are asking

new and established teams to give us a try and help to keep amatuer football alive in Oldham.  


Applications Invited - Teams Funded

The OSL are now inviting applications from new or already established teams to play in the Oldham Sunday League.

The league will be funding teams as we continue to keep football in Oldham alive and kicking into our 51st year!

Teams interested in playing in the League for season 2018/19 should contact either Val or Steve for more details.

50th Anniversary Game

Paul Marshall celebrated his first trophy as Inter-League manager as the Oldham Sunday League representative team defeated the Bolton at Home Sunday League 3 - 1.

Bolton took the lead after just 2 minutes when Louis Murphy misjudged the pace on a long through ball and allowed the Bolton forward time to slot the ball into the far corner of an empty goal.

Oldham equalized after 20 minutes when Ashley Ainsworth beat the Bolton keeper with a low shot from just outside the area. 

Nathan Barker missed a great chance to put Oldham ahead before the break.

Oldham thenplaying downhill in the second half used the slope to their advantage as Man of the Match Callum Franklin scored twice to give the visitors a deserved victory.
